As a tutor at South West Tuition, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with an EHCP in their academic journey. Working one-to-one or in small groups, you will deliver engaging, bespoke lessons that align with the National Curriculum and meet the individual needs of each learner. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact while benefiting from flexible working arrangements. We also offer opportunities to work during the holidays.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-to-one and small-group tuition sessions

• Plan and prepare personalised lessons tailored to the needs and goals of each pupil

• Track and report pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents, schools, and South West Tuition

• Create a positive, supportive and engaging learning environment that inspires confidence and motivation

• Adhere to safeguarding and confidentiality protocols

 

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience: Experience teaching or tutoring children with an EHCP/SEND

• Skills: Strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, approachability, ability to build a strong rapport with pupils

• Flexibility: Willingness to travel within and around Fleet (if required) and adapt to the needs of individual pupils

• Compliance: A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and adherence to safeguarding guidelines

• Internal Exam: To pass a short, online test held by South West Tuition to showcase your strengths
